There was a small notice in today's newspaper, announcing the winner of the local lotto draw as: C.G.B Spender.

Flatmate oggled the half-naked guy mowing our lawns today. She said it was hard to avoid watching his shirtless, tattooed, cut and perky pecs as he worked, seeming she was doing the dishes and making dinner and the kitchen window faces out to the back yard. Usually I'm rather articulate, but for the last few days I've found it hard to find the right words to describe the funeral. Nothing seems to sound right. It was beautiful. It was sad. Normal words for a situation that was anything but.

Apparently my brother now has a new place to move into. He likes to cut these things close, I think, as I vaguely remember he's due to move out of his current place sometime within the next few days. Eek!
